Left it late again but a very welcome three points

Surely our owners (whoever they are and wherever thay may be) should help CH strengthen with a couple of additions now

Just past the half way stage and 9th with a game in hand (also just two points off the Play Off zone) .....We are also the only unbeaten at home side in the whole Division and have only conceded six goals in 12 home games :applause:

I think most of us would have taken this back in August

Still only three teams with a worst away record - why is that? < <

Probably not the best we have played, granted.

But Ipswich, under Jewel are 'spoilers' more than creative.

Just one calendar month ago, Ipswich beat Barnsley 3-5 (Away).
And Barnsley were on some great form at the time.

We didn't play well but we didn't go to pieces after they equalised.

Lets just stay below the radar till about February. :D

Agreed we didn't play well but even so we did have enough chances to have scored 3 or 4.
It's great to get three points after a poor performance (probably our worst at home). There have been matches this season away from home when we have played well and lost.

Dead lucky to win in my view- we scored two very soft goals and seemed very fortunate with their penalty appeal. Couldn't for the life of me understand why MOTM was awarded to Burke who had his most ineffectual game for us all season. Spector, Beausejour are at best League 1 players and Gomis seems unable to impose himself on the game although he tries hard.

Zigic was good, though- his goals notwithstanding his general play was better than of late but King was absolutely awful. Good win, poor performance.

Did you go Curly? Poor performance but not lucky to win.

Ipswich didn't do enough to get anything out of the game, worked hard with a limited threat up front. Scored a good goal from midfield but where was our defence. It was like the parting of the Red Sea.

We had a host of good chances, King hit the post, Zigic had two other headers on goal and we opened them up down both wings bur crosses were poor.

Disagree about both Spector and Beausejour. Spector is playing out of position and Beausejour had a decent game and linked up well with Murphy and Gomis on occasions. They are far better than League 1 players. I agree Gomis is lightweight and we do miss N'Daw. Hopefully Mutch can get match fit and we'll see his potential.

Couldn't see how Burke got man of the match, it should have been either Davies or Zigic.

Grumpy, I agree we opened them up once or twice (and Fahey was always involved when we did) but both our goals came from long throws and I daresay Jewell would have been bitterly disappointed with his defence on each occasion. They also had one or two chances and from their players' reactions at the final whistle it was pretty obvious that they thought themselves unlucky.

The players deserve credit though for sticking at it and whatever criticisms can be launched at them they can certainly not be accused of lacking effort.

Erm- in fact the team didn't cost nowt: Zigic £6m, Davies £3.5m, Murphy £2.5m- not much, I know, but hardly nowt.
